The home of aviation
Why Florida?
No better place to learn to fly
The one thing most people around the world know about Florida, is its beautiful beaches, warm climate and clear sunny days.
Here at Wings Airline Academy, we call it: Destination Florida!
There are two sides of Destination Florida that might be important to you as a potential new flight student. What is it like to train as a pilot in Florida and what is the lifestyle like when you are not flying.
Flight Training in Destination Florida
First, you will be based at Sebastian Airport about one hour South of Orlando. Wings occupy an entire section of the Terminal Building that house our modern classrooms and Flight Operations Division.
A quick walk outside to our Flight Line and you will see a modern fleet of Piper and Beechcraft aircraft supported by our own Maintenance Division and all kept in our enormous Wings Hanger.
But the real fun begins when you go flying. Amazing sunny weather and clear skies are the norm with fantastic views of the Florida coastline. We start you off in relatively simple airspace but when you are ready it will be time to enter Orlando or Miami airspace which brings an entire new perspective to your flight training!
Although your flight training will be very intense and challenging, you are rewarded on your non-training days with everything Destination Florida has to offer. For starters, we have a fantastic and comfortable student accommodation Motel just around the corner from the airport so rest and relaxation are only minutes away.
